Movie: Inside Job or the story of a crime without punishment

I don’t care much for Hollywood movies, but I watched on TV the “83rd annual Academy Awards” only to find out which documentary film will win and to hear reactions. The only 2 films I’m interested in are : “Gasland” and “Inside Job”. I wanted both films to share the award.

I wasn’t too disappointed when I saw that the film Inside Job, about the nation’s financial crisis, was awarded best documentary, and heard Charles Ferguson’s acceptance speech (the director). Here watch it

Charles Ferguson:

“Forgive me, I must start by pointing out that three years after a horrific financial crisis caused by massive fraud, not a single financial executive has gone to jail—and that’s wrong.”

This documentary exposes the shocking truth behind the economic crisis of 2008. The global financial meltdown, at a cost of over $20 trillion, resulted in millions of people losing their homes and jobs.

Charles Ferguson’s previous documentary was “No End in Sight” – which focused on catastrophic policies carried out in Iraq by President George W. Bush’s administration just after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
