According to this site, 79.48% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

This site claims that 83% of All Statistics are Made Up on the Spot

Joke: 70% of all statistics are made up on the spot by 64% of people that produce false statistics 54% of the time they produce them.

This guy says, “98% of statistics are made up on the spot.”

Jokes aside, how would you estimate the percentage of statistics that are actually made up on the spot?
